42. When you go to buy bread in the grocery store, have you ever wondered which is the freshest, so you 'squeeze' for freshness or softness? Did you know that bread is delivered fresh to the stores five days a week? Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Each day has a different color twist tie.
They are: Monday = Blue
Tuesday = Green
Thursday = Red
Friday = White
Saturday = Yellow.
So if today was Thursday, you would want a red twist tie; not white which is Fridays (almost a week old)! The colors go alphabetically by color Blue- Green - Red - White - Yellow, Monday through Saturday. Very easy to remember. I thought this was interesting. I looked in the grocery store and the bread wrappers DO have different twist ties, and even the ones with the plastic clips have different colors. You learn something new everyday! Enjoy fresh bread when you buy bread with the right color on the day you are shopping.

Great tips, but I have a question: If Listerine is good for cleaning grout, I wonder what it does to our tonsils when we gargle? Hey, your recipes are posted over at my place today, and I gave your cookbook a plug, too. Thanks!

Great tips!

I got your message about me falling behind on blogging, but I don't have it in me to be an everyday blogger. I don't even know if my blogging really IS blogging most of the time, because I mainly write about things I'm remembering or thinking about, and only rarely, the day-to-day (like my discovery of the book, "And You Shall Know Us By the Trail of our Vinyl," which actually came out of a post of a particular memory.

Okay if I got this straight, I spray my arthritic, althete footy toes with WD-40 (#10) which will kill the insects too - saving me from needing to spread on Preparation H (#12). But then since WD-40 smells, I stick my toes in Jell-O! (#15) to cure the newly stinky feet and dump cornstarch (#16) on the whole mess for the athlete foot thingy.

When I'm done doing that, I will want to go out dancing so I will want to clean my hair, so, first Budwieser (#1), then Cool Whip (#3), followed by some Mayonnaise (#4), Lipton Tea (iced or hot?)(#6), and topped off with Vinegar (#26).

Gosh, you think this is going to impress my date? :)

Excellent Tips!! We used the mayonaise one for lice a couple of years ago and it totally worked. But it was quite funny to see us all on the couch with mayo heads wrapped on saran wrap. Even Vivi who was a year old at the time.

That it interesting what we can do with Kool-aid. Makes me wonder if I should be letting me kids drink that stuff.

I had no idea on the bread. I will be looking next time I am in the store. Thanks!

Mythbusters actually did an episode on Coke. I believe they found it failed almost all the myths, except one, but now I can't remember which one, lol.

Regarding the goggles, if you don't have toothpaste handy, you can just use spit. It works just as well, and it's free!
