Date Night Friday!

Wooo Hooo! TGIF!!!!
Dancing
The experts will tell you that the most important part of any relationship is communication. When was the last time you talked to your spouse??? Not about the kids, or the house, or the finances, etc etc etc.....but really talked!? When was the last time you went out on a date? And talked? You know....like you did BC (before children!). When was the last time you got butterflies in your stomache just because they walked in the door??? It's time to talk DATE NIGHT!!

It doesn't have to be on Fridays, and it doesn't have to be elaborate, and it doesn't even have to cost a lot of money! It just has to be about YOU!! So every Friday we're going to explore Date Night..........and oh the fun we shall have!! It's time to fall in love, all over again!!!!!

Now I wouldn't normally recommend seeing a movie for Date Night because you can't talk (unless you dig getting shhh'd to death!), but HELLO!!! The new Bond movie is out today!! Daniel Craig??? Man, I could totally give that man a tongue bath! TMI?? The point is my husband is going to be the recipient of all that built up lust, so it's all good. Afterall, I didn't bat an eye when Angelina Jolie got HIM all worked up with Mr. & Mrs. Smith!! (hmmmm, good times, good times!!!!) So go out there and see a great movie you are both going to enjoy. And if the ticket prices and babysitter are out of your price range right now, then put the kids down for the night and rent a movie. Bonus points if you stop it early and go to bed!!! (wink, wink!) Enjoy your Date Night!!!!!

Great suggestion Queenie! Communication is the key to success, that's for sure. I always love it when the kids ask me to babysit so they can have a night out (we ended up with another grandbaby on the way because of that once)

Have fun on your date night!! :) I totally agree with you. My husband and I try to get out as much as we can. We are fortunate to have both families in town for support. :)

That's so funny that you post that because tonight my husband and I are going to do a date night and we were going to go out for dinner-maybe we'll have to add a movie to the planes! ;)

Communication is important for any type of relationship. My husband worked shift work with Florida Power Corporation. He would work a week of days, a week of afternoons and then a week of midnights. He did that for 33 years. We always had dates. We would go to the movies (Our first date was a movie, Dr.Zhivago)or to dinner. We always held hands. We are both retired now and we still have date nights and still hold hands.
