OK, so yeah....I thought I was special because I had a blog. I didn't know anyone who had a blog, so when I started mine I thought was I was pretty cool beans! My husband was leaving on his second (of three) Iraqi tours and I thought it would be a great way for him to see what was going on at the homefront. Our daughter Isabella, aka The Bella, was born with a camera and/or video camera in her face from Day One, so now I had a place to post too cute stuff about her. It was just a family thing. Grandpa was invited too but dial up and loaded up blogs aren't a good mix.
Later it morphed into posting recipes and putting in funny jokes/stories friends would email me. Every once in a while in those forwards of a forward of a forward of a forward, there's a gem! By the way people, if you are going to forward stuff, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE for the love of all that is sacred, PLEASE delete the ten pages of stranger's email addresses and the FWD FWD FWD ad nauseum in the title too. K? Thanks! (sorry it's a pet peeve of mine and I feel better for finally getting that off my chest! Whew!!)
Then my friend Pam started a blog. (Hi Pam!!) I think she got the idea from me and that made me feel really proud for some strange reason. But then......Pammie had links on her blog of other blogs!!!! Which had links to blogs, which had links to blogs, ....you get the idea. And these blogs were AWESOME!!! Much better than mine, better writing, more funny and downright gorgeous!!! I'm not a crafty, artsy-fartsy, creative type of person. I wish I was, but yeah, I'm not. At all. I was soooo jealous! My "original" idea was hardly original, and in comparison mine was positively dull! Don'tcha hate it when reality bites your butt like that??? (dammit)
With lots of help, I gave my blog a "facelift". Just don't ask me how long I spent doing it, or how many emails to Pam it took, or how many cusswords fell from my lips in the process. It wasn't pretty. But my blog is! So maybe it's not the prettiest blog out there, or the funniest, or whatever; it's still mine. And my patient husband still thinks it's the best, or so he says. I think mostly he doesn't care but knows I do, lol!
So now I can revel in other people's talent and perhaps by reading, I'll expand as a blogger myself. If not, then at least I get lots of great laughs, great info, "meet" some incredible women, and might even win a new vacuum cleaner! Now THAT is cool beans!!

Oh, can I relate to the checking out other people's blog and realizing how much better they are than yours!! I am in the midst of trying to customize mine and I am SO NOT a crafty or visual person...it might take me awhile.
Thank you for stopping by my blog and THANK YOU for praying. His word will not return void!! Many Blessings!

Happy Blogging !
