At the Ballastone, intimate dining and privacy are our number one concern. Start the day off right with breakfast at a private table in the mansion or outside in the courtyard garden. Ballastone breakfast specialties include Peaches and Cream Stuffed French Toast, Low Country Benedict, and Made-to-Order Omelets.


Traditional Afternoon Tea features antique silver tea service, fine china, and lovely lavender-scented antique linens. Our chef prepares delicacies daily for tea service. Favorites include JalapeƱo Egg Salad Sandwiches, Lemon Macaroons, Chocolate Covered Strawberries, and Macadamia Nut Brownies.



At 6:00 daily, join us in the Victorian Bar for a glass of wine or your favorite cocktail. Ask the bartender to make a Ballastone Specialty – a fruity Cosmopolitan, or spicy Bloody Mary. Each night hors d’oeuvres will be served on the bar for our guests’ enjoyment.

As the name implies, this romantic room contains a queen size carved mahogany four-poster Rice carved bed set into a bay window overlooking historic Oglethorpe Avenue. Toile in teal Italian matelasse coverlet and Euro shams. Scarlett and Rhett memorabilia surround you. Wrap up in your private loveseat under your own crystal chandelier. Antique lighting and Jacuzzi bath truly sets the stage for a very romantic evening! Fireplace.YES!! This room was made for me!!! uh, and yeah, Thomas too! Look at that great big tub!! WOOO HOOO!!!! It even has my Princess phone!
